The Sahara chairman has come out in complete transparency to
minus out SEBI'S malicious act directed at destroying Sahara's goodwill and
repute of so many years. He has been pretty clear in highlighting the main points
which were under the hiding from the common man. The comments seemed to be
simple answers by Sahara against SEBI's biased and uncalled tirade against the
company. The answers by Sahara against the regulator's accusations reflected in
a positive reply with an array of words of patriotism. Sahara has stated that
it maintains the faith in the judicial system, and has been co operating with
the judicial process. As a neutral I do understand the concern and ambiguity of
people in these times. If as an investor, you have placed your belief in Sahara
for so many years. Can you lose it on the allegation of SEBI? SEBI has had
voluminous amount of loopholes in their allegations. If we consider the case of
Golden Forest Investors which was banned by SEBI, the investors did not receive
even a single penny in 10 years, so how can an investor believe that SEBI will
pay the investors back. SEBI has been involved in money laundering activities.
The regulator been running in pace to top the charts of corruption in the country.
The question is whom should the people believe in? It is a known fact that
Sahara is a reputed company.
Everyone knows that with fame and reputation, maligning and
defaming acts follow. It would be very easy for SEBI to act for various third
parties involved in destroying the company's hard earned image. It’s still very
unclear if the regulator is doing these acts on purpose. It was nice to see the
chairman raise this issue and invite the people from SEBI for a live debate in
an open forum from a neutral point of view. He clearly explained that it’s his
moral duty to expose the loopholes in these allegations. It must be a sign of
huge reprieve for the people, investors and families involved with Sahara to
see this development. It was surprising to hear that the chairman has written
thrice to the regulator but to no avail. It would be hugely beneficial for the
people involved with Sahara that the both parties clear off this issue at the
earliest.
It was refreshing to read the article Sahara issued against SEBI dated 17th March. I believe it was a very transparent approach on Sahara's point to clear the air of negativity surrounding the case.
ReplyDeleteSEBI's recent allegation is that there are thousand investors who have not responded. SEBI should be wise enough to understand that all small investors who have already received payment shall definitely not correspond with SEBI or anybody for that matter.
